The Next Phase of Phoenix BRT Is Heating Up!
Wow it's Warm!
Sara Kotecki
Hello, everyone!
We are turning up the temperature on the city’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Program. A quick progress report: This summer, we have begun 15% design of the BRT project on 35th Avenue, which, thanks to your input, will include center-running dedicated bus lanes. We are also planning our next round of community and business engagement along the Van Buren Street Corridor!
Starting this fall, you can help us as we take steps to move into the BRT preliminary design phase along Van Buren Street. This is your chance to lend your voice and share your thoughts, questions, and what you think is important for BRT along Van Buren Street.
During the upcoming business, community, and pop-up events, you can expect to hear about project updates, including the latest developments and timelines. It’s also your chance to take part in interactive discussions, share your perspectives, provide feedback on certain BRT design elements along Van Buren Street, and ask questions.
Stay tuned for details on dates, locations, and how to participate. Together, we’re paving the way for a more connected, sustainable, and efficient public transit system. Thank you for your continued support, enthusiasm, and involvement in this incredible project!
Let’s keep moving forward together!
